I Did it Again!

I got the grade back on my second Chem exam. I expected to get @ "B" because I needed to study more, blah, blah blah - and, I did receive a "B" (actually it would be a "B+"). BUT - she put in a 17 point curve for this test!!! Therefore, the 133/150 grade I received on the test was bumped up to 150/150, i.e., "A" !!! I am quite proud of myself and still can't believe it! I just want to know why I didn't do this 20 years ago...

How come, as a young, energetic, confused, unencumbered 18 year old, I couldn't get an "A" on a chemistry test? Sometimes I look back wonder what the heck I was thinking. Now, I am older, in relative good health, divorced mother of 3, tired, holding down two jobs and taking a class on top of it all and I have a solid "A" in my Chem class. Go figure...

I'm looking forward to finishing this class with 4.0 - that's all there is to it. I'm glad I have the mindset to want to finish well - it hasn't always been that way!

I'm 40 years old, female, and approaching the last half of my last year of medical school. I retook all of my core science courses before med school while working full-time, so I feel ya. Know that others rejoice with you and mourn with you in understanding of what you're doing. Keep looking ahead, you're doing great !
